Day 1:

 

1.   Introduction                                                                             

2.   Atmospheric and Vacuum Distillation Towers:

  • Process Control Problems

  • Fouling Problems

  • Damaged Trays

  • Reflux Problems

  • Reboiler and condenser problems

  • Bottoms pumps problems

  • Flash zone high pressure/ temperature

  • Ejector problems

  • A tray leakage or construction error

  • Eliminating black gas oil

  • Upset tray decks

  • Stripping steam inadequate rates

  • Low  flow trip

  • Foaming and flooding

Day 2:                                                                      

 

3.   Process Heaters ( Furnaces ) :

6.  Corrosion and Cracking  

  • Corrosion resistance

  • Naphthenic Acid

  • Hydrogen blisters

  • Chemicals (H2SO4 , NH4HS )

  • Stress Cracking

  • Polythionic acid cracking

  • How to learn process unit, operators duties, control room, flow sheet
