 PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:

Upon the successful completion of this course, participant will gain enough knowledge on oil movement calculations  , processing oil terminals and tank farms design , Methods of oil quantity and quality measurement ,  , oil products specifications, tank design and protection , emergency of oil spills, cleaning of crude oil tanks, cleaning of leaded gasoline tanks, work permit system, gas transmission pipelines, oil terminals troubleshooting pigging operations in crude oil pipelines, quality assurance and control, contingency and safety procedures etc.

The aim of this course is to provide participants with a complete and up-to-date overview of the oil movements & storage operations in modern refineries.

  • Oil Terminals & Tank Farm.

  • Storage Tanks :Types of tanks, Procedure of tank design , tank measurement and  tank cleaning  

  • Tank Mixing & Tank-Tank Transfer.

  • Crude oil Pipelines :design ,operation, protection and maintenance  

  • Gas Transmission Lines  :Design ,Operation ,problems and Cathodic Protection.

  •  Pipelines Operational Problems and Solving   : Sludge problems,  corrosion   and cavitations

  • Oil and Gas Flow Meters  :function ,types ,and calibration

  • Factors that affect the Meter Performance

  • Crude Oil Processing: dehydration, desalting  and stabilization
